Worthy Farm, Glastonbury

Glastonbury

Possibly the most highly anticipated festival of 2019 after taking a break last year Glastonbury is back and better than ever. Acts will be performing across more than 100 stages.

 

There isn't much we know about this years line up but this is what we do know. Kylie minogue will be playing this year legendary slot which in the past has been taken by Barry Gibb and Dolly Parton. Stormzy has been announced as the first headliner. The rest is only rumoured including hints that Kendrick Lamar could make an appearance.

 

For now the waiting game continues and it has us on the edge of our seats.

Hit The North

With Jake Bugg and Tom Grennan revealed as the first headliners and said to be bigger and better than last year, you need to get your tickets now before its too late. With an estimated 120 acts performing in 12 city centre venues around Newcastle Town centre, its only the festivals third year so anything is expected.

Set in the beautiful Peak District countryside of Derbyshire its time to get your wellies out. With appearance's from the newest and biggest artists the question really is Y NOT? With the line up not yet announced take a risk as looking at last years its a risk worth taking.

Isle Of Wight Festival

If your going to party at a festival you may as well go all out which means travelling somewhere new. Why not make a holiday out of it? The Rock and Pop festival that is Isle of Wight is one of the most highly anticipated festivals of the year.

This years line up has not yet been rumoured but 2018's featured legendary acts Kasabian and The Script headlining of Friday, Depeche Mode and Liam Gallagher on Saturday, and The Killers and Van Morrison on Sunday. So whether you decide to go for just the day or make it the weekend it will all be well worth it.

Parklife

Parklife is an Independent music festival held annually in Manchester that showcases music from Indie to Dance and Electronic to Hip Hop nominated for UK festival line up of the year

 

Dizzee Rascal headlined in 2012 and Disclosure in 2013. The line up for 2014 included Snoop Dogg, Foals, Rudimental, Disclosure and London Grammar, while 2015's event was headlined by Disclosure and Rudimental, and featured performances from Nas, Caribou, Fatboy Slim and Jamie Jones. Last years acts were The XX, N.E.R.D, Sampha, MNEK and Everything Everything will be performing across the two days as well as an appearance from the amazing DJ Annie- Mac. But what awaits us this year?

Make sure you dont miss out on this award winning festival this year especially if you didn't manage to make it in 2017. New year new festivals.

The Great Escape is a three day festival hosting all different genres of music such as Rock, Alternative Rock, Indie Rock, Punk Rock, Hard Rock, Dance, Techno, Electronic, Acoustic, Hip Hop. So if your a hard core Rock fan or DJ raver this is the festival of the year for you.

The festival bring over 300 acts from all over the world together. The Great Escape is the leading festival in Europe to discover new music. So find you new favourite artist and see them in a smaller setting before they go on to headline other major festivals.

Crack said “If anyone had any doubts that The Great Escape is the most important UK music festival for new bands, new trends and making new friends then they most certainly got knocked out of the water this year. 10 years in, and TGE went harder than ever before.”

Tickets are on sale now for the the second year of All Points East festival in the stunning Victoria park, London.

 

It is a two weekend music event with three huge APE presents headline shows including Bring Me The Horizon.  The line up includes The Chemical Brothers, Christine And The Queens, Bon Iver and Nothing But Thieves with even more to come. With BMTH's new release medicine gaining a huge listening and appreciation you don't want to let this slip.

 

With festival season soon approaching this is a must go to event for independent music lovers. So if you missed out on their UK tour this year, 2019 is the year for you.

Community Festvial

Community Festival is a one day festival jam packed full of new music. Headlining this year are the come back band The Kooks as well as appearances from The Blossoms, The Night Cafe, Kate Nash and the upcoming BLOXX with even more to be announced.

The atmosphere of this festival in previous years is said to has been amazing. Festival Republic really has bought the community of this kind of scene in music, together.

Reading Festival

Reading is a weekend festival which has been running since 1989.  It lasts from the Friday until Monday and really makes the most out of a festival experience being one of the most highly rated festivals with one of the highest capacities. 

With the line up announced it has us more excited than ever with The 1975 headlining after their arena tour early this year along with Post Malone, Twenty One Pilots and Foo Fighters in past years it has seen artists such as Kasabian and Eminem in 2017, Foals and Red Hot Chilli Peppers in 2016 and Mumford And Sons and The Libertines in 2015. Each year has only gotten better and better so this year has only exceeded our expectations.

So don't forget your wellies and choose whether to go luxury glamping or get down and dirty at Reading this year.
