AMP sounds closing party, Roundhouse, London

Annie Mac is one of my most influential role models and I had always wanted to see her DJ live instead of just hearing it on the radio. As good as this still was I could image how great it would be in person. I had always been to young to go to her other AMP events as they were hosted at 18+ venues but her closing party was announced to be held at the Roundhouse in Camden London. I bought tickets straight away especially after seeing the line up; Toddla T, Mabel, Steel Banglez, Kojo Funds, Stefflon Don, Ghetts, Mist, Not3s, Raye, Wretch 32 and the AMAZING Disclosure.

The atmosphere made hearing songs in the charts such as, My Lover, Finders Keepers and Bad sound completely different and even better live which is always the case with live music.

Halfway through the second DJ set of the night all the lights came on and the msuic stopped which we thought was all part of the plan but then we were told to leave the building. Everyone panicked but it turned out someone had just got a little too drunk and decided to see what the fire alarm button did. This pushed all the acts back by about half an hour.

We had to leave at 11:00 to get the last train back home and missed the best surprise Annie Mac could have pulled on the crowd. She bought Sam Smith out to perform 'Latch' with Disclosure. No one had a clue this was going to happen and I was absolutely gutted when I heard it because from the videos it looked another level of awesome.
