Dakota Avenue

Dakota Avenue are a group of three lads from inner Manchester, forming a Dirty - Indie band.

The band released their first single 'Wont Back Down' in 2017, and since then have racked up an honourable 25'000 streams. From a sold out debut show to BBC Introducing, 2018 has pushed the band to the max with doors opening here there and everywhere.

Lead singer of the band J says “I love letting common phrases litter my lyrics. My parents spoke some absolute gold, I literally used to jot everything they said down - it’s weird now though, now I’ve left home, I’m a bit lost but I suppose that can inspire you too.” 'Getintheshower' their new 2019 single release symbolises humans relationships, how they can go wrong and how we 'wash off' problems we have. The energy their music gives is inspiring and motivating.

Dakota Avenue have gigged all around the city of Manchester. Hopefully for us all, they will branch out into other parts of the country in the near future. I find in my experience that bands I have taken interest in and been to see in their early stages of breaking out onto the scene, tend to grow to be thriving and successful. I have confidence this band is one of them.
